The EWB-UF team is partnered with the Centro de Salud de Maras, the only community health center in Maras. The project is currently in implementation of Phase 2 out of 3. The completion of Phase 1 succeeded in installing a pump automation system to pump water from the municipal supply up into two rooftop tanks that gravity feed the health center. Phase 2 includes the construction of an additional 2,500 L tank and water distribution piping into the wing of the health center that does not currently have access to running water. Eventually, Phase 3 of the project will create safer access to the rooftop tanks and line the reservoir with protective coating.
