Shree Mathurapati Secondary School (2021-Present)

The EWB-UF team is working with the Shree Mathurapati Secondary School to restore latrines for students, make them more accessible, and improve water storage. This includes reconnecting the latrines to the school's water system, potentially retrofitting existing structures, and connecting them to the septic system to allow for flushing. Safety and accessibility improvements, including rerouting water directly into latrines and addressing structural deterioration, are key priorities.

In addition, the two existing stairways to the latrines will be refurbished as a part of Phase 2. This will ensure a safe and accessible way for students to reach the mixed latrines down the hill, including adding handrails and drainage to maximize safety even during the rainy seasons.
